As a witness to the history of this community of 200 souls centuries ago, we are left today with a small church, a main square, a school, the bakers oven, some stables, an oil press and barns for farm animals. In this village, on a sloping hillside, you will enjoy a cultural and natural stay.
In between visits to the principal historic towns of the region, you can spend your days exploring the village and the vestiges of its’ previous working and farming life. We are undergoing our own renaissance at Cerbaiola, having carefully restored the buildings and surroundings according to strict and traditional building methods.

Local artisans have used original stone, terra cotta and wide beams to reconstruct an environment true to its origins, ensuring authenticity and harmony.
But modern day comforts are also yours to enjoy, with central heating, sattelite TV, modern kitchens and bathrooms, dishwashers and washing machines, and comfortable and elegant furniture throughout. And the large swimming pool in the middle of our olive groves offers you a refreshing and relaxing area alongside our traditional buildings.

For those of you with an adventurous bent, there is also the river Pavone a few minutes outside the village, where you can swim among the pools of clear water under the trees. If you are patient, you will also see birds, deer, porcupines, and even boar – all indigenous to this area. In this unique place, we have recreated a life forgotten centuries ago, in an atmosphere of nature and beauty - a perfect base from which to discover the real history and ambience of rural Tuscany.
